Tuesday’s Terrace: Daffodils and Grape Hyacinths in City Center


After a long cold winter that brought unprecedented temperatures and snow, spring has finally arrived with warmer temperatures and gentle rain showers. The city terraces have been spiffed up for the season, and this one shown above features formal touches from clipped boxwood and loose pots of daffodils and grape hyacinths. Sometimes spring hits us full throttle that a simplified scheme can be very effective, and the white daffodils and bright blue grape hyacinths look vivid with the somber boxwood. ~ Eric
